Kathryn Parsons

I am an artist and maker exploring little-known stories of places - their biodiversity, histories and people.

Each project begins with time spent exploring, observing, reading and talking with those who best know the place. Then, weaving together these rich layers of research and meaning, I select the materials and processes that best convey the story. Through this process, I seek to re-story the land, while inviting deeper connection with nature and place.

My artworks and interventions are created for exhibitions, commissions and public-facing projects. I also lead creative nature- and heritage-focused workshops.

Based in north-west Cambridgeshire, I often work with nature conservation and heritage organisations. I’m an Artist In Residence with Langdyke Countryside Trust, an Art Pop-Up Associate Artist and member of GroundWork Network.
